This blog has been stranded without care for few weeks when I decided to take my time off from the blogging world to concentrate and prioritised on my real life. But now i'm back. I don't wanna miss the fun...
So now AI already have their top 12 contestant:
Chikezzie Eze
David Archuleta
David Cook
David Hernandez
Jason Castro
Michael Johns
The Girls
Amanda Overmyer
Brooke White
Carly Smithson
Kristy Lee Cook
Ramiele Malubay
Syesya Mercado
I am still rooting for Amanda Overmyer for the girl. That chic is fun to watch and great voice for those who love southern rock style like myself. She is the true rocker with originality through my eyes and ears.
As for the guy I changed my number 1 favourite to Jason Castro. My previous favourite Michael Johns didn't live up to my expectation and become more and more boring. Simon is right: he needs to find a killer song that would attract people to vote for him like his rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody...
Can't wait for Wednesday show...go go go Amanda and Jason...and Michael too...

Top 24 Result
I joined the Idol Office Pool at http://www.funofficepools.com under Ai7_idolicios (yep idolicios not idolicious! Spelling error during registration...ahakss). With only 1 correct guess I'm currently at the 325 ranking with only 7 points in the pool. I suck at this guessing thingy!
Top 24 eliminated contestants : Garrett Haley, Amy Davis (almost fainted listening to her exit singing) Joanne Borgella (she's pretty...wrong song) and Colton Berry (He almost cried..controlling his emotions).

Top 12 Girls Performed
Watched the girls performed tonight...like the guys yesterday none of them really blew me away. My favourite contestant is still Amanda Overmyer...the rock & roll nurse. She has great tone and carry her image so well.
Let me just go straight to rank today's performances :
The Bomb : Amanda Overmyer "Baby, Please Don’t Go" (huhuhu Like yesterday ranking...I am bias towards my favourites. I really like this girl. Of all the girls she did stand up and brought down the house with her energetic performance. Go go go Amanda!!! I support you...but I can't vote for you *sigh*)
The Best : Carly Smithson "Shadow of Your Smile" (Great voice control considering her flu thingy. I was moved by her almost jazzy performance...would rate her the top if she didn't screamed at the end of the song that spoiled my mood.
The Better : Brooke White "Happy Together" (Fresh performance...cheerful background. I was all happy and smiling watching her singing)
The Good : Ramiele Malubay “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me” (Everyone said her performance was the best but I think it just good. I don't know if you remember Nadia Turner from AI4 who sang the same song. I got goosebumped listening to Nadia. That's what I'll say GREAT performance. Compare the performance.
The Not Bad : Kady Malloy "A Groovy Kind Of Love" (Poor Kady...I don't agree with the judges. I like this girl's voice. I believe she could bring magic in her performances...so really hope she stays til top 12)
The OK : Asia’h Epperson "Take Another Piece of My Heart" (Don't really fancy her big voice but it was alright....)
The So-So : Kristy Lee Cook "Rescue Me" (Beautiful girl...great body...hehehehehe...Not bad voice but not a good song choice...kept begging to be rescued...pity way for sympathy votes ahakss)
The not Good : Alaina Whitaker "More Today Than Yesterday" (Too slow performance...boring! But I like her voice....wrong song choice)
The Bad : Syesha Mercado "Tobacco Road" (The performance didn't get me...forgettable)
The Worse : Alexandrea Lushington "Spinning Wheel" (I was screaming inside watching her performance. Don't sing the songs that previous idol contestants sang so beautifully unless you can do better than them! She can't nailed one of Bo Bice's best performance)
The Worst : Joanne Borgella "I Say A Little Prayer" (My favourite song! Unfortunately she didn't do justice to the song. I don't think her voice fit for this song...urghhh!)
The Hopeless : Amy Davis "Where the Boys Are" (Unlucky of her to caught up with the flu in her first week of AI...but it was really painful to hear. Too bad...but she was beyond worst tonight for me)

Top 12 Guys Performed
This is my new signature on http://www.idolforum.com/. Every year I created a new id to reflect on current season. This year however, I'm too dang lazy to create a new one so I'll keep on using last year's ID : "AI6_idolicious". Add me if you're an idolforum member.
My favourite contestant besides Michael Johns (offcourse!) as of today is Jason Castro...the long hair Bob Marley kinda guy singing with guitar. He had neither audition nor hollywood week airtime at all until the top 24 decision time. Hearing him for the first time I believe he has the chance to advance but not strong enough to go through finale (my humble opinion).
I ranks the performances and add videos that I thought worthy to put up to this post...
The Bomb : Michael Johns "Light My Fire" (I quote Simon Cowell "I would say Michael that you are the most consistent contestant we’ve had". Enough said!)
The Best : Jason Castro "Daydream" (Good song choice and great idea to be different by playing guitar. He showed talents and I like his performance - Great stage image)
The Better : Robbie Carrico "One is the Loneliest Number"
The Good : David Archuleta "Shop Around" (I think he is being a little over-rated. I admit he is good but has difficulty holding high notes...indeed a sweet adorable boy.)
The Not Bad : David Hernandez “Midnight Hour" (He reminded me of Ferhad. Not bad but not great either)
The OK : David Cook "Happy Together" (would rate higher if he didn't look too struggled in singing the song)
The So-So : Danny Noriega "Jailhouse Rock" (I love his song choice but hate his over the top attitudes)
The Not Good : Jason Yeager "Moonriver " (No feeling towards this guy...forgettable if not because of his sweet son)
The Bad : Colton Berry performs “Suspicious Minds” (No Comment - just don't like it)
The Worse : Garrett Haley "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" (Too Boring...sounds and look like a girl...not in a pleasent way)
The Worst : Luke Menard "Everbody’s Talkin" (No airtime but should use the disadvantage to at least shine if not outshine others - Castro did it)
The Hopeless : Chikezie Eze "I Love You More Today Than Yesterday"
Who I think will be voted out : Chikezie Eze and Jason Yeager
Can't wait for tomorrow show...Go go go girls...Kick these guys' *toot*...
P/S : Just to clear things up to those who questioned my interests in American Idol. I don't need to be american to follow American Idol. I am a proud Malaysian...not trying to westernized myself. Thanks!

Top 24 - Idol Officially Started
American Idol has officially started...with 24 contestants. I'll definately be an avid follower of this show from beginning to the end. So far my favourites (Bo Bice, Elliot Yamin and Blake Lewis) never won the title...but I'm not going to giving up!
Here's the images of this year's Idol contestants (Grabbed from Rickey.org-the best ever blog/site for Idol updates) :
At the early stage of this competition I already have few favourites, loosely based on the auditions and Hollywood week round. My true favourites can only be determined next week on the first stage performance show. Anyway this is my current favourites:
1. Michael Johns
This guy can blow with soul. Weird tho to have an Australian guy in American Idol but I am rooting for him since his audition round. Cheers mate...
2. Amanda Overmyer
She did light my fire...This chic is so cool...I love her country and rock & roll voice. She ROCKKK!!!!
Hope for the best Idol ever...
