Top 12 Guys Performed

This is my new signature on http://www.idolforum.com/. Every year I created a new id to reflect on current season. This year however, I'm too dang lazy to create a new one so I'll keep on using last year's ID : "AI6_idolicious". Add me if you're an idolforum member.

My favourite contestant besides Michael Johns (offcourse!) as of today is Jason Castro...the long hair Bob Marley kinda guy singing with guitar. He had neither audition nor hollywood week airtime at all until the top 24 decision time. Hearing him for the first time I believe he has the chance to advance but not strong enough to go through finale (my humble opinion).

My personal take on today's performances - Actually it was just an OK start to AI7. I expected to find at least 1 performance that really blew me away like what Bo Bice and Blake Lewis did in previous seasons. Didn't see any entertainer quality in them yet. They are all just singers...but that will do for me tho coz at least Jason Castro made me smile in awe...

I ranks the performances and add videos that I thought worthy to put up to this post...

The Bomb : Michael Johns "Light My Fire" (I quote Simon Cowell "I would say Michael that you are the most consistent contestant we’ve had". Enough said!)

The Best : Jason Castro "Daydream" (Good song choice and great idea to be different by playing guitar. He showed talents and I like his performance - Great stage image)

The Better : Robbie Carrico "One is the Loneliest Number"

The Good : David Archuleta "Shop Around" (I think he is being a little over-rated. I admit he is good but has difficulty holding high notes...indeed a sweet adorable boy.)

The Not Bad : David Hernandez “Midnight Hour" (He reminded me of Ferhad. Not bad but not great either)

The OK : David Cook "Happy Together" (would rate higher if he didn't look too struggled in singing the song)

The So-So : Danny Noriega "Jailhouse Rock" (I love his song choice but hate his over the top attitudes)

The Not Good : Jason Yeager "Moonriver " (No feeling towards this guy...forgettable if not because of his sweet son)

The Bad : Colton Berry performs “Suspicious Minds” (No Comment - just don't like it)

The Worse : Garrett Haley "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" (Too Boring...sounds and look like a girl...not in a pleasent way)

The Worst : Luke Menard "Everbody’s Talkin" (No airtime but should use the disadvantage to at least shine if not outshine others - Castro did it)

The Hopeless : Chikezie Eze "I Love You More Today Than Yesterday"

Who I think will be voted out : Chikezie Eze and Jason Yeager

Can't wait for tomorrow show...Go go go girls...Kick these guys' *toot*...

P/S : Just to clear things up to those who questioned my interests in American Idol. I don't need to be american to follow American Idol. I am a proud Malaysian...not trying to westernized myself. Thanks!
